In our days, the different forms of health tourism play an increasing role in todayâs tourism industry and in the economic performance of numerous countries (AUBERT-BERKI 2007). During the last decade in which health tourism significantly developed, the most dynamic development is experienced in the area of wellness tourism both in domestic and international relations. Such general trends as the strengthening of individualisation, demographic change, the increasing social role of women, spiritualisation or the spread of civilisation diseases and the re-evaluation of healthy lifestyle initiated the social framework for wellness services and products (FRIEDL 2007, ZSIGMOND 2007). According to the professionals of different disciplines, due to the changes in society and the favourable economic performance of the industry the wellness market will be the most dynamically developing branch of tourism and economy of the future as well.
