Jelen projekt a legjelentősebb múltbeli magyar közgazdászok - részben magyarul soha meg nem jelent - alapművekeit, illetve életművük nehezen hozzáférhető írásait készítette elő kiadása. Egyúttal feldolgozta szerzőik életművét, külön hangsúlyt fektetve e művek/szerzők munkásságának külföldi recepciójára. I. A kutatás során két jelentős, eredetileg idegen nyelven írt/publikált alapművet készítettünk el kiadásra, és dolgoztuk fel szerzőik életművét: a. Kautz Gyula: Theorie und Geschichte der National-Oekonomik II. Theil. Die geschichtliche Entwickelung der National-Oekonomik und ihrer Literatur. Wien: Gerold. 1860. E mű magyarul soha nem jelent meg. A könyvet a XIX. századi eszmetörténet írás alapművei közé sorolja a nemzetközi irodalom. Annak idején Marshall, Marx, Jevons stb. méltatói közé tartoztak. b. Berzeviczy Gergely: De Oeconomia Publico Politica. Készült 1820?1822 latinul. A mű első közgazdasági remekírónk klasszikus alkotása. II. A projektben továbbá előkészítettük c. Navratil Ákos válogatott írásait is, életművét bemutató tanulmánnyal. Navratil Ákos Heller Farkassal együtt a a 20. század első felének vezető elméleti közgazdásza volt. d. Feldolgoztuk korai elméleti irodalmunk elfelejtett művét, Bethlen Domokos: A nemzeti jól-létről c. munkáját (1831). Mindegyik kötetet megjelentettük a Magyar Közgazdasági Klasszikusok sorozatban. | In the framework of this project the works of important Hungarian economists of the past were being prepared for publication. Analytical studies on their authors?s theoretical views and their international reception were also part of the research. All books and studies were successfully published in the series: Hungarian Classics in Economics. I. Two basic books, written in German and Latin, respectively, were prepared for publication in Hungarian language: a. Kautz, Julius (Gyula): Theorie und Geschichte der National-Oekonomik II. Theil. Die geschichtliche Entwicklung der National-Oekonomik und ihrer Literatur. Wien: Gerold. 1860. The book was written in German, had never appeared in Hungarian language. It is considered to be one of the basic works of the 19th century besides Blanqui?s, Roscher?s and Macculloch?s history of economic thought. b. Berzeviczy, Gregorius (Gergely): De Oeconomia Publico Politica. Written between 1820?1822 in Latin. One of the first books on economics in Hungary reflecting the views of the classical school. II. Selection of writings together with analytical studies were also prepared c. from the works of Navratil, Akos (1875-1952), one of most important Hungarian theorists at the first half of 20th century. d. An early, almost forgotten Hungarian theoretical work (1831) was also brought to the attention of the profession.
