A tervidőszakban részben hazai tájakon, részben pedig a Keleti- és a Déli-Kárpátokban végeztem kutatásokat. A külföldi kutatómunka során évente több hetet is eltöltöttem a Keleti-Kárpátokban. Speciálkollégium keretében előadtam nappali szakos hallgatók számára a Moldvai flis Kárpátokat (2003), az Erdélyi flis Kárpátokat (2004), a Keleti-Kárpátok vulkanikus területeit (2005), végül 2006-ban foglalkoztam a Kereti-Kárpátok medencéivel (Gyergyói, Csíki, Brassói) is. A tervidőszak folyamán sikerült a hallgatókkal is eljutni a Keleti-Kárpátokba. Mivel több évtizede kutatási témám a periglaciális formák vizsgálata a hazai vulkanikus középhegységeinkben, így jó alkalom kínálkozott arra, hogy a Tokaji-hegység periglaciális formáit összehasonlítsam a Hargita hasonló formáival. Kutatásaim során perdöntő eredményekre jutottam a Tokaji-hegység hegylábfelszíneinek kialakulásával kapcsolatban. Sikerült bizonyítanom a Sümegi- és a Bérbaltavári-hegyláblépcsők kialakulását sivatagi mázas kaviccsal. Hazánk északkeleti részéről eddig ilyen lelet még nem került elő, és ezek teljesen új megvilágításba helyezik a Szerencs-Mád környéki hegylábfelszínek kialakulását és ezen túl az egész Tokaji-hegység hegylábfelszíneinek kérdését. Eredményeimről elsősorban a Szerencsen rendezett ankéton számoltam be. Részt vettem külföldön rendezett konferenciákon is, így Pozsonyban és a Kárpát-Balkán Geomorfológiai Komisszió rendezésében megtartott ankéton, de Zilahon és Nagyváradon is tartottam előadást. | In the research period research was carried out partly in Hungary, partly in the Eastern- and Southern-Carpathians. I spent a few weeks with field work in the Eastern-Carpathians each year. I gave lectures in the frame of special courses on the Moldovan Flysch Carpathians (2003), the Flysch Carpathians of Transylvania (2004), the volcanic mountains of the Eastern-Carpathians (2005), the basins in the Eastern-Carpathians (Gyergyó, Csík, Háromszék) in 2006. During the research period we took a field trip with the students to the Eastern-Carpathians. Since studies on the periglacial forms of the Hungarian volcanic mountains of medium height have been my special field of research for several decades, there was a good opportunity to compare the periglacial forms of the Tokaj-mountains with those of the Hargita-mountains. I have reached some decisive results in connection with the development of the pediments of the Tokaj-mountains. I have proved the formation of Sümeg- and Bérbaltavár piedmont benches by desert varnished pebbles. There had not been any similar findings known from Northeast Hungary previously; and they throw a new light upon the formation of the Szerencs-Mád pediments and even the issues of the pediments of the whole Tokaj-mountains. My results were presented first at the conference held in Szerencs. Later I took part in foreign conferences as well, like in Pozsony or the conference held by the Carpathians-Balkans Geomorphologic Commission, or at Zilah and Nagyvárad.
